When a guest calls, Certus checks your live book and creates the reservation directly in OpenTable. No hardware, no extra fees.

Do guests get a normal OpenTable confirmation?

Yes. The moment the reservation is created, the guest receives the standard OpenTable SMS and email confirmation, and the booking appears on your reservation calendar with a table assignment, exactly like an online booking.

Can Certus change or cancel a reservation by phone?

Yes. If a guest calls back to reschedule, change the party size, or cancel, Certus handles it and OpenTable updates instantly, with a new confirmation sent to the guest.

Can Certus book my experiences?

Yes. Wine tastings, chef's tables, holiday events, and other experiences you've configured in OpenTable sync, so Certus knows what's available and can book them over the phone [verify: prepaid/ticketed experience handling]. Private dining and large-party inquiries are captured and routed to your team.

How do I know it won't promise a table I don't have?

Every time Certus offers is checked against your live OpenTable availability before it is confirmed. If the 7:30 slot is gone, Certus cannot offer it. The reservation only exists once OpenTable has accepted it.

Does Certus replace my OpenTable setup?

No. Everything you've configured in OpenTable stays exactly as it is. Certus adds the phone channel on top, so calls and online bookings feed the same book.

Can Certus take phone orders too?
