The Role
We’re looking for a Technical Success Engineer — someone obsessed with restaurant owners and eager to solve problems with both empathy and technical grit.
This isn’t a back-office support/ success role. You’ll be the front line of Certus AI: helping restaurants onboard, launch, troubleshoot, and succeed. Think of yourself as the bridge between restaurant owners and Certus
Own client communication – respond fast, keep restaurant owners in the loop, and build trust through clear communication & personal relationships
Run onboarding & launches – make sure every restaurant in the pipeline gets set up, trained, and live smoothly according to our extremely short launch window
Troubleshoot & problem-solve – dig into flagged calls, broken flows, and integration issues; work with product/engineering on fixes
Manage ticketing & flagging systems – track issues, document resolutions, and build early processes so nothing slips
Systemize success – turn chaotic customer requests into repeatable workflows and playbooks
Be the voice of the customer – bring feedback directly into our product roadmap
This role will start scrappy, working directly with the founders, and has huge growth potential. This role can grow into Technical Success Manager, Head of Success, or Director/ VP level leadership as we scale.

Who You Are
Experience in technical support, solutions engineer or SRE-like role
You’re a clear and calm communicator
You move fast - fast responses, fast troubleshooting, fast learning
You’re resourceful and can figure things out with little guidance
You can translate messy customer feedback into clear actions
You enjoy working with both owners (customers) and systems (tools, integrations)
You have a high ownership mentality
You’re obsessed with helping restaurant owners succeed
You’re advanced with APIs, prompting, integrations, or scripting/debugging
Bonus:
Ex-founder, startup or restaurant industry experience

Pay / Salary
Salary: $70k – $100k base + equity + benefits.
